FORCES TRAVEL
Forces Travel was established in 1988 to provide a specialised
travel service to the following: Royal Air Force, Army, Navy, Reservists, M.O.D,
Retired Members of H.M. Forces, Royal British Legion Members, U.S. Forces, Canadian
Forces, N.A.T.O. Forces, Attached civilian to any of above, Police Force, Prison
Service, Ambulance Service & NHS employees. Family members are also eligible
providing they travel with you.
Our experienced and friendly staff will help you choose the arrangements that
suit you best. All our staff have many years experience in the holiday business
and equally importantly, we understand the special requirements of our special
customers.
Our head office is situated in the city of St.Albans, England. Once the capital
of Roman England, St.Albans has a long military history and is therefore an
appropriate base for our unique operation.
We started out in 1988 with a small programme of self-drive holidays for British
servicemen and their families to a few Mediterranean resorts. This quickly expanded
to include destinations in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Holland, Austria,
Switzerland, Greece and the Czech Republic. We also offer over 1000 hotels throughout
Europe. Our own holiday programme continues to be a very popular choice, especially
with our customers posted in mainland Europe.
In 1992 we became Travel Agents (Forces Travel) as well as Tour Operators and
started to offer a range of package holidays and flights to worldwide destinations
for customers based both in the UK and overseas.
The demand for a wider range of holidays and travel options has grown steadily
over the years and we have added many special products. For example: special
prices on ferries and Eurotunnel, discounted flights for popular routes and
many more. We are also able to offer excellent discounts on UK package holiday
brochures such as Airtours, First Choice, Cosmos, JMC and many more.
We have a growing number of satellite offices on military bases in mainland
Europe to provide a valuable local travel agency, in English, to our service
men and women posted overseas. More recently we have begun offering a local
service to bases in the England and Northern Ireland. Furthermore we provide
this website with many services bookable online 24 hrs a day from anywhere in
the world.
